Junior Developer (Product)

You're a recent graduate (or self-taught engineer) with a passion for building complete, end-to-end features. You love crafting an intuitive user experience, but you're also curious about the backend services and data that power it.

You're not looking for a slow-moving, formal training program; you're looking to make an impact from day one. At Ediphy, we're a small, expert team, and we believe in learning by doing. You’ll ship production code that spans the entire stack, getting direct guidance from our senior engineers as you quickly build the autonomy to own your work.

What You'll Build & Learn

• Build client-facing applications: Take the lead on building, and optimizing our user-facing platforms using modern JavaScript (primarily Vue.js).
• Power your own features: Write and maintain the Python-based backend APIs and services that your frontend applications will consume.
• Translate complexity into clarity: Partner directly with senior engineers and our founders to learn the complexities of financial markets, translating them into robust, high-performance code—from the UI to the database.
• Contribute to the full stack: Get hands-on experience across our stack. While your focus will be on the frontend and its supporting APIs, you'll also contribute to our distributed systems environment.

What We're Looking For

• Strong CS Fundamentals: You have a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and systems design from your degree or personal projects.
• Full-Stack Programming Foundation: You have programming experience with both:
  
  1. A modern frontend framework (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular)
  2. A backend language, with a strong foundation in Python.
• Polyglot Mindset (Bonus): We're a polyglot team. Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) our other stack languages—like Rust, C#, Java, and/tms/JavaScript—is a major plus.
• Proactive & Independent: You are a self-starter. You know how to ask smart questions but are comfortable tackling problems independently, whether it's a UI bug or a database query.
• Curiosity & Problem-Solving: You can show us a complex project you've built (for university, an internship, or for fun). We'd love to see how you approach building a complete feature.
• Collaborative Mindset: You have experience with Git and thrive on the satisfaction of deploying a fix or feature that makes a real difference to users.
